Bristle

Bristle is a close study in wild abundance, the canvas surface alive with the layered marks. Deep greens, amber streaks, and clusters of purple berry forms press against one another in the undergrowth, while the thistles themselves burst forward, luminous and untamed. This is a painting about what persists at the margins — prickled, ungardened, and wholly beautiful.
