SKIN TO MY WITNESS
Clay is the oldest material. It holds the mark of the hand, the memory of fire, and the passage of time in its surface.
Skin and Witness are two bodies of ceramic work in ongoing conversation. Skin explores the surface: tactile, encrusted, alive with texture and glaze. Witness rises from the ground, stacked, vertical, quietly sentient. Where one body of work invites touch, the other invites sustained looking. Together they explore what it means to have a body in space, to hold something inside and to stand, present, in the world.
