Purple wildflowers and yellow blooms rise from dark, tangled stems into a field of pale, layered light. Uncurated is a painting about the wild as it actually is; not arranged, not tended, not planned. The monoprint underlayer breathes through the surface, giving the composition a quality of atmosphere and memory, as though the flowers are emerging from something older than themselves. Rich darks anchor the base while the upper field dissolves into ghostly texture and warmth. These are nobody's flowers, growing exactly as they please.
